Our Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants are licensed by the North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy.  Our providers have received training in:  The Handwriting Without Tears Program (Pre-k - 5th Grade) and The Alert Program for Self Regulation through Sensory Integration.  Therapy Discoveries' providers have extensive backgrounds providing Occupational Therapy in a variety of settings to include: homes, daycares, school system, hospitals, outpatient facilities, home health and skilled nursing.

Therapy Discoveries recognize the importance of communication between the occupational therapy provider and the child's parent and/or teacher.  Our providers will educate caregivers and provide activities and techniques as part of a home exercise program to continue progress and encourage independence.  Providers may also provide recommendations for environmental adaptations, adapted equipment, body mechanics and sensory activities to help each child learn and play in a variety of environments.
